Mommy's Birthday Card

This photo is from a few weeks ago but Mommy thought it was funny. For her birthday, Daddy gave her a card that says "Celebrate your 30th birthday the way you did when you were born." When you open the card it says, "Wrap yourself in a blanket & cry hysterically," & the card makes the sound of baby crying. I thought this was so funny. I walked around opening & closing the card all afternoon until Mommy & Daddy hid it because they were tired of hearing the baby crying :)

Good News!

I just wanted to let everyone know that I have changed my mind - I DO like my tux! Daddy had me put it on the other night & I didn't want to take it off! I can't wait to wear it in the wedding! Plus, Daddy told me we will match because he will be wearing a tux too! Yea!

My Tuxedo

In 2 weeks I am going to be the Ring Bearer in my Uncle Matt's wedding. Mommy bought me this cute little tux to wear. Mommom hemmed the pants for me & took in the waist band. It looks really cute on me. The only problem is that I DO NOT like it!! Hopefully I will change my mind before the wedding! Any ideas, blog readers?

I am 20 Months Old Today! October 2, 2008

Is this a good modeling pose, or what?

A few things about me at 20 months:

*I am busy ALL the time! I don't walk much anymore, I run!

*When Daddy gets home from work & I hear the garage door opening, I run to the laundry room, stand at the door, & knock until Daddy comes in!

*I clean up my messes - Sometimes my sippy cup will drip water on the coffee table. I will go get the dish towel in the kitchen & wipe up the water, all by myself. I started doing this all on my own, without any prompting from Mommy or Daddy. Hmmm.

*I love to help Mommy & Daddy put things away - One afternoon I was showing interest in Daddy's shoes & socks that were in the living room, so Mommy asked me if I wanted to take them to her room. I carried each shoe one at a time & then the socks. Later Mommy went back to her room & the shoes were sitting side by side with the socks on top, just inside the door of their room :)

*I love to play with my golf club & my soccer ball. They are my favorites!

*I love my stuffed animals, especially BoBo & Ras (Giraffe).

*I love my bedtime routine - After my bath, reading & brushing my teeth, Mommy & Daddy pray with me. They ask me if I want to pray & I say, "Yeah." Then when we're done praying I say Amen, "men."

*When I am doing something I know I shouldn't be doing (like pulling the cords out of Daddy's laptop bag) & Mommy or Daddy catches me, I will wave at them & say "hi" over & over :) Sometimes this works as a distraction technique, sometimes it doesn't :)

A Fun Weekend -

This past weekend we had a fun & eventful time in Dallas! It included time with family, Daddy's 10 year high school reunion, a baby shower & an FC Dallas Soccer Game...

On Saturday Mommy went to a baby shower for her friend Carrie & Baby Claire. While she was at the shower, the teenager who lives next door decided to back into her car - Not much fun to deal with, but thankfully no one was hurt & the driver is insured!
