2 year photos

Yesterday Mommy & Daddy took me to get my 2 year photos taken. I did great! Mommy & Daddy were in some too! It was lots of fun :)

A Relaxing Morning -

Mommy has been feeling very nostalgic these last few days, with my 2 year birthday in a week. She is trying to do better with pictures. Yesterday morning I was being quite the show off & loving the camera...I kept asking her to take more, "again."I love my cat, Mistletoe, that Po & Nana gave me for Christmas. He is the perfect size for me & I carry him everywhere. I love to give my toys hugs & then I have Mommy give them hugs too.

I came in the living room carrying my little toy Ernie & my cat, Mistletoe, so Mommy & I reviewed names. Conversation:

Mommy: "What is his name?" Me: "Ernie"

Mommy: "What is your cat's name?" Me: "Mis-toe"

Mommy: "What is my name?" Me: "Mommy!!"

Mommy: "What is your name?" Me: "My-mul!!"

Yogurt!

I love O'Soy yogurt! It is one of my favorite snacks right now. Quite often I want more than one! I have also discovered that I love nachoes. The other night Mommy made them with taco meat, cheese & guacamole. I ate tons of them with the meat & everything...so this makes Mommy & Daddy really happy because they love Mexican food!!

Fun Girl Weekend!

Mommy had a great weekend with her high school girlfriends! Daddy took care of me while the 4 girls spent the weekend at Julie's house. It was a fun time of talking, laughing & eating.Mommy, Julie, Elizabeth & CarrieMommy & Carrie

Pretend Play!

Mommy & Daddy have been enjoying watching me play. I have been "pretending" a lot more & doing things more intentionally.

One of my favorite toys right now is Mommy's pots & pans. I will get them out of the cabinet, set them all up on the coffee table & then have the best time taking the lids on & off & stiring & pouring.

I am 23 months old! January 2, 2009

Mommy & Daddy can hardly believe that I will be 2 in a month. I am changing so fast & they don't want to forget the things I'm doing now - Here are a few things they want to remember about me at 23 months:

*This table was Mommy's when she was little & it has been in the garage. She painted it & brought it inside the other day. I have been sitting at it constantly. I love to "cook" & play with my kitchen things. I also love puzzles! I got 2 for Christmas that make sounds - they are my favorites.

*I love to say my name, My-mul - I point at things that are mine & say, "My-mul's." I also love to look at myself in Mommy's mirror & say hi to My-mul.

*Mommy & Daddy love my spontaneous hugs that I give them.

*I am good with my manners - I say please & thank you very well.

*I am talking like crazy. I name objects all the time & repeat everything Mommy & Daddy say. I know all our family members' names. Yesterday we were reading a book & Mommy heard me say 4 words together - "airplane in the sky." That's the most words so far.

*I am a good eater! Some things I really like right now that surprise Mommy are cottage cheese, pimento cheese, guacamole, & raw carrots.

*Mommy has told me that there is a baby in her tummy. I like to point to her tummy & say, "Baby, in there."

*Yesterday I woke up kind of cranky. Mommy started singing me the song~ "Say hey, it's a good day, even if things aren't going my way. Jesus is Lord & I am saved. So, say hey, it's a good day." I loved it! I had her sing it over & over, probably 5 times. A little bit later she was driving me to MDO & I said, "good day," several times :)
